When Mala Luna hits the stage on October 28th and 29th we’re going for more than just Weezy – we’re going for the food vendors! While most of us have learned to be tolerable of music fests and their lack of health conscious food options, Mala Luna is covering everyone this year including vegetarians and vegans.

When I saw Jugo Juicery listed as a food vendor I instantly knew this festival was getting better every year. Jacqueline and I like to go hard in the crowd when our favorite jams come on but afterwards we usually “replenish” our body with $7 water bottles and Monster (Warped Tour years, anyone?) Jugo Juicey will be bringing fresh juices, açaí bowls and superfood smoothies to the menu and I know a cold pressed juice after a rocking set will be pure bliss.

Another culinary name headlining at the festival is The Box Street Social, a local food truck and catering company. With menu items including blackened chicken breast served on a poppy seed bun with sweet slaw and house made pickles, fish tacos with roasted poblano sour cream and chipotle cremà, and spicy crab stuffed avocados, you’re going to want to take a seat in the shade and enjoy every bite.

Big Daddy's Eats & Treats Mangonada

Although Mala Luna takes place in late October, realistically we know it’s not going to be cold which is why we have no objections about Big Daddy‘s serving up their ice cold mangonadas, fresanadas and blue dreams. I think I’ll indulge in a mangonada at the end of the night while I reminisce about my favorite sets of the evening.

Frank Hot Dogs

From artisan sausages to vegan dogs, we love Frank for modernizing the traditional hot dog stand. Don’t forget to pair your dog with the waffle fries + Frank sauce!

You can check out all the food vendors at Mala Luna here and don’t forget to read about the daily lineups. See ya on Halloween weekend!
