Fashion isn’t a word typically associated with San Antonio, however, the fashion scene is emerging at full speed. One of the main signs of our city breaking out of it’s monotone colored shell is Fashion Week San Antonio. This week is overflowing with stylish events and we’re thrilled to be a part of the team! Here’s a rundown of the runway shows and schedule at Fashion Week San Antonio.
On Tuesday, November 3 at 7 p.m., Jorge Duque Velez will be showcasing his Spring/Summer 2016 collection simply named DUQUEVELEZ at the fashion week show space, located at 101 S. Santa Rosa. After the show, stop by Chama Gaucha for Brazilian cocktails and appetizers with the designer.
A’gaci takes the stage on Wednesday, November 4 at 7 p.m. with its hottest looks for Spring/Summer. A’gaci is headquarted in San Antonio and recently announced that the store will be expanding with a warehouse and distribution center. If you’re looking for only a couple of Fashion Week San Antonio events to attend, put this one on your list! The after party will take place at the Last Word in downtown San Antonio.
On Friday November 6, two Texas designers and former Project Runway contestants (and one Project Runway winner!) will take the Fashion Week San Antonio stage. Antony Ryan, winner of Project Runway All Star, will show his Spring/Summer 2016 collection at 7 p.m. Samantha Plasencia will showcase her Spring/Summer 2016 collection at 8:00 p.m. The after party will be held at Juniper Tar, one of downtown San Antonio’s hottest bars, at 9 p.m.
Saturday’s first designer’s looks have been seen worn by Beyonce herself. New York City based designer, Ruben Ruele, will showcase his Fall/Winter 2015 collection known as Demstiks at 7:00 p.m on November 7. At 8 p.m., Celestino will showcase the Spring/Summer 2016 collection of evening gowns and cocktail dresses. Meet and greet the designers at J-Prime Steakhouse after the show at 9 p.m.
Fashion Week San Antonio will be closing out the glamorous week at Paramour for the Be Fashionable! SA Rooftop party at 9 p.m. on Sunday, November 8. This is the time to pull out that dress you’ve always wanted to wear, but never knew where to wear it to! Come show off your style, San Antonio!
