The Garment ExchangeShopping. An eight letter word that can, at times, cause your wallet to cringe. While shopping at La Cantera is always a treat, we found solace at The Garment Exchange, a trendy boutique offering second-hand designer clothing. garmentexchange-3673Walking through the doors of the Garment Exchange, located at 16662 San Pedro off 281, was exhilarating. As soon as I stepped in, a gorgeous yellow and white crop top (current obsession) caught my eye. Before running into the world of brightly colored clothing, Jacqueline and I spoke with Marilyn Caskey and Riley Caskey, the mother and daughter duo at the Garment Exchange.

Before the San Pedro location, the Garment Exchange was located in Alamo Heights. While talking with Marilyn, Jacqueline and I felt our hearts rise because we could feel the passion she had about women and dressing to be the best you possible. At the beginning, the Garment Exchange focused on tweens and the older crowd, but at the new location, get ready to see trend after trend throughout the boutique. Oh, and gorgeous vintage finds as well!

The Garment ExchangeGuess how much the outfit above costs? Under $100! And we’re not talking solely about the dress. One hundred bucks will get you the gorgeous, Madewell denim dress, the Lucky Brand wedges, stone necklace and Stella & Dot coral clutch. Oh yeah, we’re in love.

Whether you are looking to sell clothing that no longer suits you, are boost your wardrobe a few points, head over to the Garment Exchange and find your next, go-to ensemble. Retail therapy has never felt so good! The Garment Exchange is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
