Bakery LoraineSince it’s first day open at Pearl, Bakery Lorraine has been attracting guests from all over San Antonio for lunch, dessert, coffee breaks and, of course, brunch!

Bakery Loraine BrunchOne of my favorite brunch entrees is oatmeal. When I first came to Bakery Lorraine before noon on a Saturday, I spotted baked oatmeal with seasonal fruit and fell in love. The fresh whipped cream, fruit and perfectly spiced baked oatmeal melted in my mouth. After ordering the baked oatmeal three times in a row, I decided it was time to switch it up and the barley and farro porridge seemed like the best choice! I know, I live on the wild side when it comes to brunchin’. Served with almonds, apricots, cranberries and seasonal fruit, the porridge at Bakery Lorraine is extraordinary and also comes will a dollop of that sweet, whipped cream.

Bakery Loraine BrunchJacqueline ordered one of Bakery Lorraine’s breakfast sandwiches – spinach, a poached egg, fontina and lemon aïoli on an English muffin. Other breakfast sandwiches include bacon, scrambled eggs and cheddar on a croissant, breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs and cheddar on an English muffin, and a Croque Madame made up of ham, gruyère, béchamel and a poached egg on grilled sourdough. All breakfast sandwiches come with a serving of breakfast potatoes.

Macarons, scones, cinnamon rolls, cheese danishes, bread budding and homemade pop tarts are always on the menu as well. If you can’t decide what treat to order with your latte, may we recommend the pop tart? It’s Instagram and stomach approved.

Bakery Lorraine is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the kitchen closing everyday at 6 p.m. On Monday through Friday, breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. and until noon on Saturday and Sunday. If you’re coming by on a weekend to indulge in brunch, we suggest arriving early because the line will reach the door!
