It’s a sweet life we live in San Antonio. One where crepes, coffee and gelato can live in harmony with chocolate fountains, macarons and the aromas of  freshly pressed waffles. Newly opened at 5500 Babcock Road, Suite 104, Crepeccino bridges the gap between sweet and caffeinated.

After being inspired on the streets of France, friends and business partners Bara Ekhlayel and Bob Almohtaseb are among the first to pioneer a crepe-centric establishment in the Alamo City. The crepe menu integrates fresh fruits, Belgian chocolates and even gets a creative twist when it comes to presentation. Almost too pretty to eat, dive into a chocolately work of art or get experimental with their “fettuccine crepe.” You guessed it; this crepe is presented in strips resembling classic fettuccine noodles. And yes, if you eat it for dinner we won’t judge.

I’m a breakfast for dinner kind of girl. Actually if we are being honest, a breakfast anytime kind of girl. But before sampling the menu at Crepeccino, I failed to realize that while SA is full of its fair share of specialty treat shops there is a total lack of waffle shops. At Crepeccino you can eat a golden Belgian waffle anytime! Make it your own by choosing to top it off with chocolate, honey, caramel or fresh fruit. It’s like breakfast, but sweeter!

With an impressive selection of gelato flavors provided by Paciugo, chill out with a cone! Stack your flavors high with three of four scoops to make a flavor profile all your own. After much consideration, we chose Mint, Rose and Taro for our cone and what a great combination it was.
