Amy Wasetis“Made by Texans, for Texans, in Texas”. That’s one of the new slogans for the popular beer, Bud Light. I had no idea that the second largest Budweiser Brewery was only a few hours away in Houston, so when I heard that they wanted us to come out and take a tour of the brewery I couldn’t wait to check it out.
When you arrive, the tour includes everything from seeing the hops used and the fermentation process, to quality testing and your own personal sampling in the Budweiser tasting room. Fun fact learned during my tour: over 1 million pounds of raw material including rice and wheat are delivered daily! To find out more and get in on the fun, the tours operate daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If you haven’t noticed, we are passionate about exploring our home state of Texas, and after visiting the brewery we realized just how passionate Bud Light is about Texas in general. In fact, if you have recently opened up a bottle or can of Bud Light, 100% of those products came directly from Houston. This particular location, with over 600 employees, supplies all of Texas with its Bud Light.
