Sing sweet love songs into each other’s ears at Pearl Park
#WednesdayDateNight is trending now that Pearl features Sound Creme Sunset Sessions on the lawn. Grab a picnic blanket, snacks, and an umbrella and head to Pearl Park! Every Wednesday night the newly opened Pearl Park is filled with music by various DJs from San Antonio and beyond. Make sure to get there early to score a spacious spot and stop by Larder to pick up your favorite wine, beer, cider or Topo for a jammin’ date night.

Esquire Downstairs

Set the mood at Downstairs at Esquire Tavern
If you’d rather avoid the heat altogether, head downtown and downstairs to Downstairs at the Esquire Tavern. The new basement bar provides locals with a hideaway from the tourist hotspot just upstairs. A staircase lined with candles leads you to Downstairs at Esquire where you will be greeted by intricate wood carvings, a full bar and just enough light to read the words on your menu. This place is sexy.

Sip on sake together at SA’s newest gastropub
If specialized cocktails and high-quality bar food get you excited then Hanzo, a new Japanese-inspired gastropub on Broadway, is your next date location. The new gastropub also features a small but unique food menu that will pair perfectly with your Yuzual Suspect cocktail composed of  yuzu sake, yuzu-ginger syrup, lime and Topo Chico.

Please make sure to have an Uber ready to go or a DD because all that sangria can get a little crazy and we know you want to get home safe for the second part of the date.

Rebecca Creek Whiskey Dinner

Indulge in a five-course dinner in one of SA’s most romantic hotels
Jacqueline and I recently attended a Whiskey Dinner at the Marriott Rivercenter and spent the evening being serenaded by live, acoustic music and indulging in a five-course dinner complete with whiskey pairings. We recommend surprising your date with an overnight stay at the Marriott after dinner to keep the date going until early morning. In room breakfast is always romantic in our book!

Ming's

Slurp noodles (in a cute way…if possible) at Ming’s
Instead of taking your significant other on another (expensive) candlelit dinner next date night, head to the noodle bar! Ming’s Noodle Bar, located at 5253 McCullough Ave., is housed in a cute train cart next door to other cute train carts, one of which features homemade cupcakes. Noodles and cupcakes, is there a better combination?
